This signature event provides a unique setting for some of the most influential Hispanic lawyers, leaders, elected officials, judges, and law students in the country convene to participate in this three-day mega convention that offers cutting-edge continuing legal education (CLE) sessions, which qualify for CLE credits in all U.S. jurisdictions. They feature practitioners and leading experts from across the country, addressing legal trends on a wide range of topics. Among other highlights, the Convention features: a Judicial Forum, which offers discussions on topics of interest to members of the judiciary and the lawyers that appear before them; the General Counsel Roundtable; programming by the HNBA Latina Commission, the only national entity focused exclusively on removing barriers to the advancement of Latina lawyers in the legal profession; the HNBA Corporate Board Training Series, which aims to provide substantive training to ensure Latino representation on corporate boards; the nation’s largest Career Fair for Hispanic lawyers and law students; featuring exhibitors from prominent law firms, corporations, and government agencies, and the Youth Symposium, designed to expose high school students to legal careers. In 2015, the HNBA offered cutting-edge Cybersecurity training. In 2016, the HNBA will provide programming to train future leaders in government and business.

This year's theme is Empowering Leaders, which resonates with Chicago's history as an industrial epicenter and bedrock of talented leadership. The 2016 Annual Convention will revolutionize HNBA's mission, expand membership, and enhance new partnerships!

Each employer is purchasing one booth area. The fee includes: one 6' draped table with two chairs, one wastebasket, a semi- private area for interviewing, and one (1) Employer-Only Pass - Friday only of the Annual Convention. Booths will be assigned on afirst-come, first served basis.

*Career Fair-Only registration include all Friday activities. These registrations are to be used by individuals staffing their Career Fair booth space.

2016 HNBA ANNUAL CONVENTION

CANCELLATION POLICY

All requests for career fair cancellations must be submitted via e-mail to Erika Lopeztello-Jones, HNBA Director of Operations, at by July 18, 2016, will be refunded 50% of the career fair employer fee. There will be no refunds after July 18th and no refunds for no-shows. Any booth unoccupied by noon on Friday, September 9, 2016, will be regarded as a "no-show." The employer will have been deemed to have cancelled the booth space contract, and, as such, the employer will pay as liquidated damages 100% of the total contracted space fee. All freight will be removed from the employer's area and returned to the loading dock at the employer's expense, and HNBA will be free to assign the space to other employers or utilize the space at its discretion. By submitting this career fair application, you have agreed to this cancellation policy.
