Description, Eligibility and Application

The National Teach Ag Campaign is hosting the fourth Future Agriscience Teacher Symposium (FAST) in conjunction with the live National Teach Ag Day celebration. The live National Teach Ag Day event is being hosted this year by Growth Energy at POET headquarters in Sioux Falls, SD. Individuals selected to participate in the FAST symposium will engage in professional development, collegial networking and be part of the live webcast. The National Teach Ag Campaign will select up to 21 applicants who are currently majoring in agricultural education (teaching certification track).

Selected attendees will receive…

  • Travel stipend
  • IA, MN, NE, ND, SD based Ag Ed Majors - $50 (carpooling is encouraged)
  • Majors in all other states – up to $300
  • 2 nights lodging, double occupancy, at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Sioux Falls
  • Most meals
  • Professional development training
  • Recognition and participation during the live Teach Ag Day webcast

Agricultural education majors who will be student teaching in September are only eligible if their student teaching experience has not started yet.
