ASSESSMENT REVIEW BOARD
New York Department of Taxation and Finance – The Real Property Tax Law requires that members of the Board of Assessment Review (BAR) have knowledge of property values in the assessing unit. BAR members are local public officer, and therefore, are required to be at least 18 years old, citizen of the United State, and a resident of the municipally which the Board serves.
