1. 2016 Iowa Dance and Drill Team Competition (February 2016)
This year IPTV is proud to bring you the 2014 Iowa State Drill Team Championship Highlights program. This program takes the viewer in Veterans Memorial Auditorium where the best of the best drill teams gather to show their moves. This 60-minute broadcast will allow the entire state of Iowa to view Iowa’s young student athletes as they dance across the screen competing for the first place trophy. The highlights program promises to be an evening of excellent entertainment, not only for the competitors and their schools and families, but for the entire state of Iowa. The program is tentatively scheduled for broadcast in February 2016. (Two Broadcasts)
2. Girl’s High School Basketball Championships (March 2016)
This year IPTV is happy to bring statewide, high definition coverage of the Iowa Girls State Championship Basketball Tournament held at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. Starting on Friday, March 4, 2016 we will deliver live coverage of the tournament from start to finish. Below is the current schedule of Championship Games. (Total Number of Programs: 5)

3. Terrace Hill Piano Competition (April 2016)
IPTV is proud to broadcast the 28th Annual Terrace Hill Piano Competition, a presentation of the Terrace Hill Endowment for the Musical Arts and the Terrace Hill Commission. This statewide competition is open to Iowa high school seniors or Iowans entering college. The pianists compete for scholarships to be used at one of Iowa’s colleges or universities during the next academic year. For the past thirteen years IPTV has broadcast this competition from its auditorium, Studio III. Viewers will enjoy performances from outstanding Iowa musicians during this hour-long special to be broadcast in the spring 2016. The tentative air date is April of 2016. (One Broadcast)
4. High School Girls Soccer Championships (June 2016)
Live from the James W. Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines, IPTV will deliver statewide coverage of the 2016 Girls State Soccer Tournament in June of 2016. We will cover the 1A, 2A and 3A games. (Total Number of Programs: 3)
5. High School Girls Softball Championships (July 2016)
Iowans will be able to tune-in to Iowa Public Television in July of 2016 to watch our coverage of all five championship games. The coverage will be live from the Harlan and Hazel Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge, Iowa. (Total Number of Programs: 5)
6. High School Girls Volleyball Championships (November 2016)
Iowans will once again be able to tune into Iowa Public Television to watch live coverage of the 2016 High School Girls Volleyball Championships. Live from the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, we will bring our viewers the entire game from all of the 5 classes. (Total Number of Programs: 5)
7. 2016 All State Music Festival (November 2016)
A Thanksgiving tradition continues on Iowa Public Television during the holiday season with the presentation of the 2016 All-State Music Festival. This performance will be broadcast on Thanksgiving Day 2016, and repeated the following Sunday. More than a thousand young Iowan musicians practice long hours preparing for this annual festival held at Hilton Coliseum in Ames. The program will feature highlights of the band, chorus and orchestral performances. (3 Broadcasts.)
