2018 BLAINE SKI/BOARD CLUB

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Blaine Ski/Snowboard Club will run five weeks beginning January 12th and going through February 9th. The students participating in the program will arrive on those Fridays to school with their gear and take it to the gym where it will be stored in the extra space in the girl’s locker room. The students will be dismissed from homeroom at 3:00, will quickly change if necessary, grab their gear, and take it to the bus. Your child can bring a brown bag dinner up to the pass or can buy dinner at the lodge. In addition, the kids should bring snacks for the bus and a water bottle. Transportation is proved by Puget Sound Coach Lines.

After we arrive at Summit West Ski Area, students will have free ski and board time with their friends, followed by dinner, then the 1.5 hour lesson. The lessons are mandatory and are run by Cascade Ski School. Lesson times are from 7:30 to 9:00. The students will be grouped for their lessons by ability, and each group will have 6 – 8 kids per instructor. Immediately following the lessons, the kids will collect their gear and return to the bus. The bus will depart the pass and return to Blaine around 10:30 pm.

We will have at least two adult chaperones on the bus and one emergency driver in a separate vehicle. .
