Greetings AASFAA Members,
I have enjoyed these first few months as President. I hope everyone has had time to put together your committees and begun work on your projects. I want to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to this organization. I am looking forward to the two AASFAA workshops this week. We have two good days of training and I am sure everyone is going to enjoy these workshops. I want to thank Betty Edwards for hosting us for one of our days and AUM for hosting the other day. It has already been a busy year. I have had the opportunity to go to the SASFAA transition meeting and meet the Presidents from other states. The state presidents are going to continue with the state swap. So we will look forward to a president from another state to be with us in the spring. We have also already started meeting and preparing for all Spring Conference that will be held at the Battle House in Mobile. We have reviewed our conference agendas for the last several conferences and made some exciting new changes for this spring. We have sent official notification to Dave to be our trainer for this conference. We also had some great ideas for other session at the conference from our members. I believe we have a good agenda full of information that will be useful for all that attend. It will be a great week of training for our association. I want to say a big thank you for all of the hard work that is being done for this conference. I also want to thank Stephanie for all her hard work in teaching the credentialing classes for AASFAA. This is something new and exciting for our association. Always remember that what we do as an association helps to shape young people’s lives and that we can have a positive impact on the lives of our future. I am proud to be a part of an association that strives to make the world better by providing assistance in higher education. God Bless you all and I look forward to our meeting.
