2013 Wheat Discount Policy

Loads delivered to Dougherty will be tested for Moisture and TW, bagged and taken to Floydada to test for dockage and foreign material the next day. We will use the highest Test weight value of the two grades. Moisture value used will be the Dougherty reading upon delivery.

Storage & Handling

Storage will start 30 days from delivery date of each load. Storage rate will be $.04/bu. each month. Handling fee for grain loaded back out of Open Storage (Grain Bank) is $.50/bu. plus accrued storage.

Moisture

1.8% per point of moisture over 13.5%

Each load will stand on its own. Loads 16% moisture and higher may be subject to rejection. Dockage & Foreign Material

Dockage & Foreign Material (combined value) will be deducted by weight on each load, and monetary discount will apply for loads with 1% dockage & foreign material and higher as shown below. FM such as Rye, Triticale, and grains other than wheat are considered FM, and any amounts found may be subject to rejection. If able to dump, sample will be sent to get official grades and the FM value will be added with the dockage to determine final value for discounts to apply to.

0%-.9%= no discount

1.0%-1.4%=$.04/bu discount (2 cents per half point)

1.5%-1.9%=$.06/bu discount

2.0%-2.4%=$.09/bu discount (3 cents per half point)

2.5%-2.9%=$.12/bu discount

3.0%-3.4%=$.16/bu discount (4 cents per half point)

3.5%-3.9%=$.20/bu discount

4.0%-4.4%=$.25/bu discount (5 cents per half point)

4.5%-4.9%=$.30/bu discount

5.0%-5.4%=$.36/bu discount (6 cents per half point)

5.5%-5.9%=$.42/bu discount

6.0%-6.4%=$.49/bu discount (7 cents per half point)

6.5%-6.9%=$.56/bu discount

Discounts continue at same rate for dockage higher than 6.9%.

Wheat used to calculate TW will be shaken down prior to testing.

58.9-58=$.06/bu

57.9-57=$.09/bu

56.9-56=$.12/bu

55.9-55=$.19/bu (7 cents each point)

54.9-54=$.26/bu

53.9-53=$.33/bu

52.9-52=$.40/bu

51.9-51=$.47/bu

50.9-50=$.54/bu

$.12/bu. discount each pound for test weights lower than 50 lbs.
