2015 Western Roundup
Workshop and Session Proposal Information Sheet
The 2015 Western Roundup Program Committee invites submissions for pre-conference workshops and session proposals for the upcoming meeting/conference of the Conference of Inter-Mountain Archivists (CIMA), Northwest Archivists (NWA), Society of California Archivists (SCA), and Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists (SRMA). The meeting will include a three-day conference and a day of pre-conference workshops.

Description of Possible Program Types:
· Pre-Conference Workshop: Limited enrollment session that allows interaction with participants and usually teaches or refines archival skills.
· Traditional: Open session with two to three prepared presentations of fifteen (15) minutes each, and a comment and discussion period.
· Panel Discussion: Open session with a panel of three (3) to four (4) individuals discussing a variety of theories or perspectives on the given topic(s).
· Discussion Session (Un-conference): Lead an open discussion of theories or perspectives on a given topic. A moderator is required.
· Lightning Talks: Fast-paced open session with many concise papers presented under a tight time limit, with details of the limit determined by the proposer.
· Poster Presentation: Report in which information is summarized using brief written statements and graphic materials, such as photographs, charts, graphs, and/or diagrams mounted on poster board.

PLEASE NOTE: Site fees for audio-visual equipment rental and Internet access are very high. LCD projectors and screens will be available, but other equipment needs must be fully justified. Speakers or session chairs should provide their own laptops. Hotel wi-fi may be available, but speakers should have an alternative means for their presentation in case it proves unreliable.
