2012 Ecology Leadership Award
The Michigan Farm Bureau Ecology Leadership Award is awarded to the farm or farmer whose natural resources stewardship practices contribute to the protection of the environment, while maintaining or enhancing productivity and profitability.
You have been nominated for the award by your County Farm Bureau. In addition to your nomination, they have submitted a letter of support. To complete the nomination process, your completed application needs to be postmarked by June 30, 2012. You are welcome to include additional information with your application; the application and any supplemental information are limited to six pages total. This page does not count toward the total.
Scoring:
Scoring of applicants will be based upon the information provided on this application and your County Farm Bureau’s letter of support. Applicants also must be Michigan Farm Bureau members in good standing.
Scoring will be based upon the following criteria:
Letter of support from your County Farm Bureau 5 points
Environmental Stewardship 30 points
Leadership in Conservation 20 points
Farm Bureau Involvement 15 points
Knowledge of Issues 15 points
Future Goals 15 points
Total 100 points
