1. Sustaining the funding and SHSP momentum – Day One Breakout Sessions (repeated one time)
a. SHSP FUNDING: Meeting the challenge of constrained budgets – HSIP funding as a resource - Other funding sources for safety projects
b. ENHANCING THE SHSP PROCESS: Maximizing the DOT and SHSO connection – Organization and administration of the SHSP – Dealing with organizational culture issues - Mechanisms for successful implementation of the SHSP – Motivating Executive leadership – Ensuring future commitment to the SHSP process
c. CLOSING THE GAP AMONG SAFETY PLANS: Implementation and coordination challenges of multiple State safety plans – Consideration of a single State safety plan for all modes

SHSP Emphasis Areas Lunch Networking on Wednesday:
An optional opportunity will be provided for those who are interested in discussing, brainstorming and networking about specific strategies by sitting at designated networking tables at the Peer Exchange luncheon. The table topics are: Law enforcement engagement, Drug impairment as a growing issue, Vehicle technology, New SHSP Coordinators, EMS, Roadway Engineering, Data, Public Health, MPOs/Local Agencies and State Safety Summits/Lifesavers.
