A Resolution to End Daylight Savings Time in America

WHEREAS, Daylight Savings Time has become irrelevant and outdated with the course of

time; and

WHEREAS, Daylight Savings Time was only implemented to support the war effort during

World War Two; and

WHEREAS, A majority of countries have already ended their use of Daylight Savings Time;

and

WHEREAS, Daylight Savings Time increases nationwide energyconsumption; therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That the congress here assembled end Daylight Savings Time in America

A Resolution to Require Vehicle Manufacturers to Add Automatic Braking Systems to Road Tractors That Weigh Over 14,000 Pounds
1. Whereas, many of our roads and highways are the sites of deadly accidents, and

2. Whereas, these accidents involve road tractors, trailers, and/or other vehicles, and

3. Whereas, the addition of these automatic braking systems will decrease the driver

4. response time needed to avoid an accident and therefore decrease the amount of

5. accidents on our roads, and

6. Therefore, by affirmation of this resolution by the student congress assembled here,

7.vehicle manufacturers in the United States will add automatic braking systems to

8. road tractors they sell and/or manufacture that weigh over 14,000 pounds.

A Bill To Ban Individuals On The No-Fly List From Purchasing Firearms

  1. Be it enacted by Student Congress here assembled that
  2. Section 1: Individuals on the No-fly List should be banned from
  3. purchasing firearms.
  4. Section 2: The No-fly List is created and maintained by the
  5. Terrorist Screening Center (TSC). Names of individuals who are
  6. denied permission to fly in and out of the United States appear on
  7. this list. These individuals are not banned from purchasing
  8. firearms. This bill would prevent such purchases.
  9. Section 3: The TSC would notify gun stores and sellers of the
  10. current no-fly listing complete with names,
  11. aliases, appropriate personal information, and photographs.
  12. Section 4: If an individual on the No-Fly List attempts to
  13. Purchasefirearms, the TSC will be notified and action will be
  14. taken againstthe individual.
  15. Section 5: Failure to comply with these regulations will result in
  16. temporary suspension of the seller’s license until reviewed by the
  17. TSC.
  18. Section 6: This law becomes effective within 60 days of passage.
  19. Section 7: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby
  20. declared null and void.
