A SENATE RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE THE PAUL M. DORMAN HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SWIM TEAM ON ITS SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCES IN THE CLASS AAAA DIVISION OF THE 2010 HIGH SCHOOL STATE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND TO RECOGNIZE THE SWIMMERS AND THEIR COACHES ON A SENSATIONAL SEASON.
Whereas, the members of the Senate are pleased to learn that the Dorman High School Boys Swim Team won championship honors in the 200 Freestyle Relay competition of the Class AAAA Division of the 2010 High School State Championships; and
Whereas, the Dorman High School Boys Swim Team boasted five AllRegion selections and three school records over the course of their successful season; and
Whereas, against the best competition in the state, junior Tim Few, junior Jared Gentry, freshman Jacob Rupp, and senior James Weber captured the state title in 200 Freestyle Relay; and
Whereas, Coaches Jim Raymond and Meredith Wentzel guided these championshipcaliber boys all season long by pushing them to strive for excellence and encouraging them daily so that they were prepared to swim their best; and
Whereas, the Senate takes great pleasure in recognizing and congratulating this magnificent group of talented young men on their outstanding achievements in the state championships, and the members look for continued great achievements by them in the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate the Paul M. Dorman High School Boys Swim Team on its successful performances in the class AAAA division of the 2010 High School State Swimming Championships, and to recognize the swimmers and their coaches on a sensational season.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Jim Raymond, Coach Meredith Wentzel, and Principal Jerry Wyatt on behalf of the winning 2010 Paul M. Dorman High School Boys Swim Team.
