SWIMMERRESTAREA:
Duringthe meet, on Saturday and Sunday,swimmersandtheirfamiliesmaysetup insidetheHighSchool intheGymupstairs from the Natatorium as well as outside in the courtyard area.Therearebathroomsavailableinsidetheschoolandpoolareas.
Parkingislimitedtothedesignatedareas. Noonewillbeallowedtoparkalongthestreetandmustparkindesignatedlots. Emergencyvehiclesmustbeabletogetthroughintheeventofanemergency. Therewillbevolunteerswhowillhelpindirectingtraffic.Drivecarefullyassmallchildrenwillbecrossingthestreetregularly.
Theentire pooldeck isoff limitsatALLTIMESfor setup.THEREWILLBENO SAVINGOFSEATSORSET UP ALLOWEDINTHESTANDSAT ANYTIME.All spectatorsareaskedto stayin the standsonlywhenwatchingtheirswimmerandto thengo backtotheir set‐upareainbetweenevents.Thiswillalloweveryoneachancetoseetheirathleteswim.

Teams will be requested to furnish timers based on their percentage of swims at the meet. Timing assignments will be published in the Heat Sheet and on the Fleet website ( prior to the meet.

OnlythoseofficialscertifiedbyNWALforthecurrentseasonwillofficiateatthemeet.Officialswhoareinterestedinworking an assigned position at the meet (Deck Referee or Starter) must notify the meet referee nadvance,preferablybeforeWednesday,June24th. Thisisatimedfinals,NWALsanctionedInvitationalmeetdividedintotwotimestandarddivisions–TheRedandtheBlue. SwimmersmustmeeteithertheRedortheBluequalificationtimesineitheryardsormeters;however,theycannot meet or exceedtheBluecutofftimes(whichwillbeThePonderosaQualificationTime).RelayswimmerscannotmeetorexceedtheBluecutofftimeinthestroketheyareswimmingonarelay.EachindividualeventwillhavebothRedandBluequalifiedswimmersswimmingcombined,buttheywillbeseparatedforscoringandawards.Relays willnotbeseparatedintoRedandBluedivisionsandwillbescoredasonetimestandarddivision.14Underand15‐18swimmersinthe100Freeand13‐14and15‐18inthe100IMwillcompeteFridayevening,10Underswimmers willcompeteonSaturday,andtheremainderofthe11 &Overswimmerswillcompete onSunday.

Since swim-team.us is already configured correctly for this meet all you need to do is create a calendar event for the meet and select the Red, White and Blue template. Once the event is set up you can run top times and meet eligibility reports against your swimmer database and find out who has qualified. Questions for setting up the meet can be emailed to .

QUALIFICATIONS:
AllswimmersmustmeetatleasttheRedqualificationtimes.SwimmerswhosetimemeetstheRedqualificationtimesbut nottheBluequalificationtimewillbecompetingagainstotherswimmersinRedDivisionforpointsandawards.Swimmers whosetime meetstheBluequalificationtimebutisnotequaltoorfasterthantheBluecutofftime(Ponderosa QualifyingTime)willbecompeting againstotherswimmersinBlueDivisionforpointsandawards.Noswimmers mayenteraneventinwhichtheyhaveaPonderosatimenormaytheyswimthatstrokeona relay.Theseed timeforrelaysmustbeestablishedbyaddingthefastestofficialtimesoftheswimmersontherelay,inthestroke theyareswimmingontherelay.RelaysthathaveswimmersswimmingstrokesinwhichtheyhaveaPonderosatime willbedisqualifiedandwillforfeittheirawards.Theswimmersactuallyswimmingtherelaymustberecordedonthe entrycard.

READYBENCH:
ThismeetisPre‐Seeded,whichmeansallheatandlaneassignmentswillbemadepriortothemeet.Teams,swimmersand parents areaskedtopayattentiontothemeet,theannouncersandtheeventflipchartsinordertogettheswimmerstothe ReadyBenchareawhentheireventisbeingcalled.TheReadyBenchareaisofflimitstoparents,coachesandspectatorsas per NWALrules.Theonlyexceptiontothisistherequired10Underrelayvolunteermentionedbelow.ReadyBenchandOnDeckpersonnelwillassisttheswimmersinthereadyareaandattheblocks.ITISTHESWIMMERS’RESPONSIBILITYTOBEATTHEREADYBENCHAREAONTIME. Swimmersinthefirsteventeachday(Boys14Under100FreeonFriday,Boys10Under100IMonSaturdayandBoys11‐1250FreeonSunday)shouldreporttotheReadyBenchat6:15p.m.Fridayand8:45a.m. SaturdayandSunday. Thereisplentyofparkingintheparkinglotsaroundthepoolandschoolbuildings.Peopleareaskedtoparkonlyinthedesignated areasthatweareallowedtoparkinbytheKleinSchoolDistrict.Alldrivewaysmustbekeptclearatalltimes foremergencyvehicles.
Everyoneisaskedtobecarefuldrivingintheparkinglanesandlots.Therewillbelots ofpedestriantrafficthroughoutthemeet. Smallchildrenareunpredictableinparkinglots– pleasekeepaneyeoutforthemANDonthemif theyarewithyou.
HOSPITALITY:
Therewillbe aHospitalityroomatthemeet.TheHospitalityroomisforNWALteamcoaches,MeetOfficialsandMeetVolunteers ONLY.Proofofcredentialsmayberequired.Nochildren,lanetimersorotherpeoplenotlistedwillbepermittedentrance.
COACHESPACKETS:
PacketsforeachteamwillbeavailableforpickupbythecoachesattheClerkofCourse.Thesewillincludetheirdailymeetprogram,preprintedrelaycardsforanyrelaysthattheyhaveenteredandanyotherpertinentinformation. The relaycardswillneedtobeturnedin,eitherwithnochangesorwithanyswimmerandtimeadjustments,by8:15AM forthe6Under FreestyleandMedleyrelaysandby10:00AMfortheotherFreestylerelays.Ifanyswimmerchangesaremadeontherelays,itisthecoach’sresponsibilitytomakesurethattheadjustedrelaysdonotincludeany swimmersswimming a stroke in whichthey havea Ponderosatime.Anyrelayfound to have a swimmerswimmingastrokeinwhichtheyhaveaPonderosatimewillbedisqualifiedandwillforfeitallawards.Allswimmersmustbeshownin theorderinwhichtheywillswim ontherelay.

SAFETYGUIDELINES
A.SwimmersResponsibilities
1.Allswimmerswithouta registeredcoachtoobservethematthemeet,and/ortheircoaches,should arrange,priortotheirarrivalatthemeet,foraregisteredcoachtoobservethemduringthe warm-up, competitionandwarm-down.Anyunattachedorunattendedswimmerswhohavenot madeprevious arrangementswithacoachtoobservethematthemeetshouldcontacttheMeet Director,SafetyMarshal orMeetRefereeforassistanceinmakingsucharrangementsprior totheirparticipatinginthewarm-up.
B.CoachesResponsibilities
1.Coachesshallinstructtheirswimmersregardingsafetyguidelinesandwarm-upproceduresastheyapplytoconductatmeetsandpractice.
2.Coachesshallstandnearthestartingendofthepoolwhenstartingswimmersonsprintandpacework.
3.Coachesshallactivelysupervisetheirswimmersthroughoutthewarm-upsession.
4.Coachesshallmaintainasmuchcontactwiththeirswimmersaspossible,bothverbalandvisual, throughoutthewarm-upperiod.
C.SafetyMarshals
1.AppointedSafetyMarshalshavetheauthoritytoremovefromthedeckfortheremainderofthewarm-upsession,anyswimmerorcoachwhoisinviolationofsafetyguidelinesorwarm-upprocedures.THEMEETREFEREEMAYEXERCISEADDITIONALADJUDICATION AUTHORITYASNECESSARY.
D.Miscellaneous
1.Swimmersshouldberemindedbycoachesthatbreaststrokersneedmoreleadtimethanfreestyleorbutterflyswimmers.
2.Backstrokersshallensurethattheyarenotstartingatthesametimeasaswimmerontheblocks. Swimmersshallnotstepuponthestartingblocks,whenabackstrokeriswaitingtostart.
3.Swimmersshallnotjumpordiveintothepooltostopanotherswimmeronarecalledstart.
4.Swimmersarerequiredtoexitthepooluponcompletionoftheirwarm-uptoallowotherswimmersadequatewarm-uptime.Thepoolisnotforvisitingorplayingduringwarm-upperiods.
5.Warm-upproceduresshallbeenforcedforanybreaks,scheduledorotherwise,duringthe competition.
6.AlldivingboardsandequipmentareOFFLIMITS.
