Our goal is to provide a safe, learning environment for campers to enjoy themselves and creatively express their ideas and thoughts. To keep the camp day running smoothly an effective procedure for discipline is as follows:
A consistent policy of dealing with discipline implemented by all staff includes:
Camp guidelines will be established the first day of camp. Expectations of campers will be discussed and implemented. In the event campers cannot adhere to the guidelines they will be subject to these consequences:
FIRST OFFENSE = Warning
SECOND OFFENSE = Time out from activity
THIRD OFFENSE= Removal from activities for the day.
Camper makes a phone call home. Parent may be required to pick camper up immediately.
Fighting or bullying is grounds for immediate removal from camp!
As a last resort and if poor behavior continues, the camper will be permanently removed from camp at the discretion of the CampDirector.
The staff of the King Arts Complex is excited to provide your camper with an unforgettable experience this summer. Our job goes far beyond teaching technical skills in the arts but more importantly it focuses on developing a holistically educated child able to express themselves in a positive manner through the arts. Leadership, friendship, and manners are at the heart of daily
camp activities and we ask for YOUR help in enforcing them at home too.
Here’s to a great summer!
