2015-2016 Beta Club Membership Information and Contract for Returning Members

Annual Beta membership dues are $5.00; this includes local dues. In order to be counted as a member, dues must be paid to one of our Beta officers by Tuesday, September 22, 2015. You may pay your dues and turn in your forms before the end of power hour to Mrs. Cosnahan. If dues are not received by the deadline, you will be dropped from the Beta Club roster. If there are any problems about the dues, please see a sponsor immediately.
A calendar of our monthly meetings and event opportunities are available on our website: Members are asked to attend ALL meetings. If you are unable to be there, you will receive an e-mail from the secretary, Anna Griffin. You will then need to see either sponsor to explain why you missed the meeting. After the second missed meeting both you and a parent will be notified. If a third unexcused absence is incurred, you will be dropped from the Beta Club roster.
Current Beta members are expected to maintain a 4.0 GPA weighted at all times. Grade checks are made at semesters. Anyone who falls below the required GPA will be on academic probation and has one semester to bring his or her GPA back to standard in order to remain in good standing with the club. If a person fails to do this, he or she will be dropped from the Beta Club roster.
Because our club emphasizes service, a member is required to complete a minimum of three scheduled community service events each semester. You must meet these service hour deadlines. If service events are not completed by the end of the first semester, you will be dropped from the Beta Club roster. If you are a senior, you will not bear the honor of wearing the Beta Club stole at graduation.
Seniors may purchase their own Beta stole for graduation. The price and information about stoles will be available next semester. If there is a financial hardship, please speak to one of the sponsors.
THE CONTRACT (for returning members)
Every member and a parent or guardian must complete the contract agreement survey found on our Beta website no later than September 22, 2015. Please complete this survey on the Beta website AFTER you have paid your dues.
