- Coordinate Referee payments with treasurer

Detail Job Descriptions:
Coaching, Scheduling & Field Operations Committee
- Rich Henderson at the Town Rec Dept is your main contact for indoor practice facilities (pre season), along with field availability and maintenance during the season.
- Late November, contact Rich Henderson begin to arrange for indoor practice facilities for preseason and set expectations for regular season.
- Preseason indoor practices are recommended 2 nights a week starting in mid March for 3 hours 6pm - 9pm - the Wolcott gym worked well last year & we split the time between Jrs6 - 7:30 & Seniors 7:30 -9pm. (NOTE – Loomis parents may also assist is getting indoor practice time at their facilities – Sally Knight/Aimee MacGillivray)
- Regular Season field preferences are:
- Practices at Oliver Ellsworth – evenings from 5:30 – 7:30 & Saturdays 9am – noon
- Games are at SagePark – if a home game conflict, we would also use Oliver Ellsworth
- The last 2 years we have tried to gain access to the bathrooms at Sage to no avail. Again ask the town, but also Sue Fullana may help because of her football connection (the field house belongs to football)
- Early January, email a note to John Carpenter asking that he keep you in the loop when the coaches are doing the scheduling so that youcan create a combined schedule Juniors and Seniors). John is the main contact with the Ct Valley Youth Lacrosse League (“CVYL”). John’s contact information:

- Before the scheduling meeting, reach out to parents to identify any major events that should be considered during scheduling…and pass along to coaches:
- MLC activities/trips
- Shad Derby day
- SagePark-7th grade Cape Cod trip & 8th grade trips (Mary Ellen Bianchi good resource)
- Once you have the combined schedule, you will
- Identify and home game conflicts – if so, the younger team will play at Oliver Ellsworth
- Email to the Web Coordinator to load the schedules onto the website
- Email to the referee Coordinator to get commitments from refs for home games
- Ask John Carpenter if he is available to Referee any of the Junior Home Games
- Email to the team schedulers – theycontact the opposing coaches to confirm date, time, locations, &directions.

- The current list of referees
- The current list of CVYL coaches with contact information
