RULES:

1.  It is prohibited for any participant to hire or use any type of guide, consultation from land is permitted.

2.  It is strictly prohibited for any person to accept any fish not caught by him or her.

3.  No more than two persons per boat.

4.  Only artificial lures shall be used.

5.  Scoring is by pounds and tenth of pounds. Winners are determined by the total weight of teams fish. Ties will be broken by total number of fish (most fish win) If still a tie, biggest bass breaks the tie.

6.  Five (5) fish limit and mandatory release of all live Bass after they are weighed.

7.  Dead fish will result in a ½ pound penalty per dead fish.

8.  Fishing is allowed in any area that can be reached by boat on the Martiny chain. Area in front of the site launch, and main and secondary channels around the release site are off limits on second day.

9.  Late check in could mean disqualification for that day, decision to be made by officials.

10.  Each competitor is required to wear a coast guard approved life vest while the combustion engine is running above an idle.

11.  All State and Federal boating and fishing laws will be obeyed.

12.  No boat is allowed within 50 yards of a boat that is anchored and trolling motor up.

13.  No passing in the channels unless waived by.

14.  Valid protest and complaints will be heard and considered by official prior to weigh in, disputes will be ruled on by the official and will be final.

15.  All boats and equipment are subject to inspection at any time on land or water.

16.  At no time between start and finish shall contestants leave their boat at any location other than tournament head quarters unless it is an emergency. Restrooms and refreshments are available at Shooltz’s Landing, which is HQ.

17.  Short fish will result in ½ pound penalty and loss of that fish for the team. Bump boards will be available in advance of weighing your fish and you may ask for a courtesy check without penalty.

18.  Only one rod per person can be used at a time and no trolling.

Having read the rules, I have completed this registration and have enclosed my registration fee of $90.00 per boat. This fee includes $5.00 each day for big bass. Two Big Bass places will be paid each day, 60% and 40%. On signing this application I hereby waive and release all other contestants, the host, sponsors, property owners and officials from any and all claims of injury or damage occurring in connection with the Riley Memorial Tournament. I further understand and agree that the tournament committee reserves the right to refund this entrance fee if it should choose for any reason not to accept my application.
