2009 Concordia Tennis Academy
Program description
Students registered for this program will receive instruction in the fundamental tennis skills and tennis strategies appropriate to their stage of development. These tennis skills and strategies will be taught using a variety of fed ball drills, live ball drills, and various competitive games. A high level of sportsmanship, maximum effort, and a positive attitude will be reinforced and demanded from all participants. This program is designed for players who are serious about becoming better tennis players and people. Each lesson will also include a time of prayer, and all participants in the program will receive a Concordia Tennis Academy t-shirt.
Lesson Sessions
Session #1 is a four week session that will begin on Monday, May 4th and will end on Wednesday, May 27th. Students registered for the program will have three lessons per week. Group lessons will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week. Each lesson will be one hour in length. The student to instructor ratio for these lessons will be no greater than 8:1. All lessons will be held on the Concordia outdoor tennis courts.
Session #2 is a five week lesson program that will begin on Monday, June 8th, and end on Wednesday, July 8th. Students will have three lessons per week. Group lessons will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each week. Lessons for players in grades 5-8 will be one hour in length. Lessons for students in grades 9-12 will be one and a half hours in length. The student to instructor ratio for these lessons will be no greater than 8:1. All lessons will be held on the Concordia outdoor tennis courts.
Session #3 is also a five week lesson program that will begin on Monday, July 13th, and end on Wednesday, August,12th. Students will have three lessons per week. Group lessons will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each week. Lessons for players in grades 5-8 will be one hour in length. Lessons for students in grades 9-12 will be one and a half hours in length. The student to instructor ratio for these lessons will be no greater than 8:1. All lessons will be held on the Concordia outdoor tennis courts.
Private lessons – Will be available on Thursdays. Please contact me to set up a time for
your private lessons.
Cancelations due to weather – In each session two weather related cancelations are included in the registration costs. If in any session we have more than two weather related cancelations we will schedule make up sessions.

Registration
Registration will be on a first come first serve basis. All groups will be limited to eight or fewer students, so I encourage you to mail your registration forms as soon as possible to secure your spot. I will inform all applicants by e-mail concerning the status of their registration and acceptance. Do not send payment with your registration. Payment can be made at your first lesson.
