2012FATIMA BLUE & GOLD SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Fatima High School is proud to be hosting our 1st Annual Blue & Gold Soccer Tournament on October 5 – 6. The tournament will consist of 4 schools and we will be playing a round robin format. We are hopeful that each team will play 3 games, but if the weather doesn’t cooperate then we reserve the right to shorten the tournament. We will do our very best to have each team play a minimum of 2 games. If the tournament would be cancelled because of inclement weather then we will make every effort to reschedule it.

Tournaments Teams:Tournament Fee: $75 per school

Crocker High School

Fatima High School

Missouri Military Academy

Southern Boone High School

Trophies/Awards: A trophy or plaque will be awarded for 1st place only.

Field Locations: The tournament will be played at the Westphalia Knights of Columbus field which is located about a mile down Hwy. 63 after you cross the Osage River Bridge and turn off of Hwy. 50. The field will be on the right as you are heading south on Hwy. 63.

We have redone our soccer field this past summer and now have a very nice Bermuda field. Because it is such a new field if inclement weather is an issue we will be very conservative.

A practice field will be available for teams to warm-up before the game. After the 1st game on Friday night and on Saturday morning teams will be allowed a 15 minute warm-up period on the game field. If games go long then we will push the later games back just a little and try to keep 30 minutes between games so that the team that has already played will have 15 minutes to rest and 15 minutes to warm up.

Rules: Games will consist of two 40-minute halves with a 10-minute halftime and all NFHS and MSHSAA rules will be followed. In the case of a tie at the end of regulation, two 10-minute “golden goal” periods will be played. If a winner is still unable to be determined after the two overtime periods there will be a penalty kick shootout to determine a winner (NFHS rules apply). In case of inclement weather, the time of the halves may be decreased, but any decision to do so will involve prior notification.

** Each team is required to supply ball boys for their half of the field.

Tiebreaker Procedures for teams that finished with the same record:

1)Head to Head

2)Fewest goals allowed in tournament games.

3)Most goals scored in tournament games.
