Trusts
Khan v Gany Holdings (PTC) SA - 5 day trial and one day appeal led by Gilead Cooper QC and then Richard Wilson, concerning a claim for an account of the assets of a trust where the aggrieved beneficiary disputed the account given by the trustee.
Coward v MFP Limited – 2 day strike out hearing led by Michael Bloch QC concerning a beneficiary’s entitlement to sums held in a trust structure.
Advised and acted on various other matters including a proposed Beddoes application to approve litigation, eventually dealt with by way of indemnity.
Company and Commercial
Comodo Holdings Limited v Renaissance Ventures Limited – Various applications (including successful Summary Judgment application and pending appeal) concerning the status of the shares of a deceased shareholder who has been removed from the register of a company in circumstances where it is disputed whether the shares were paid for.
Solon Group Inc v Fletcher – Injunction and Summary Judgment restraining rogue former director and principal of group of investment funds from purporting to act as director of the funds and deal with their assets.
Nilon Limited v Royal Westminster Investments SA – Appeals concerning forum non conveniens and the scope of an action for rectification of the register of shareholders of a company (BVI lawyers not actively involved in PC appeal – see [2015] UKPC 2)

Insolvency
Fairfield Sentry Limited v Migani [2014] UKPC 9 – Appeals to the EC Court of Appeal and Privy Council concerning the ability of liquidators of a Bernard Madoff feeder fund to claw back, in restitution, monies paid out to redeeming investors on a mistaken basis as to the value of the underlying assets of the fund.
Sport Financiera SA v Olympic Gold Limited – Acted in various applications concerning a disgruntled creditor attempting to attack a scheme of arrangement on technical grounds.
Advised and acted in various other insolvency applications including for the appointment of liquidators.
Fraud and Asset Tracing
Quinn Finance v Lyndhurst Development Trading SA – Freezing Injunction, Norwich Pharmacal and Receivership application (in some cases led by Gabriel Moss QC) concerning a BVI company which fraudulently purported to take an assignment of an asset of an Irish bankrupt and subsequently transfer it to a Ukrainian company.
OJSC TNK-BP Holding v Leibson Corporation – Freezing Injunction and Norwich Pharmacals (in some cases led by Stephen Moverley Smith QC) against BVI companies used to receive monies alleged to have been obtained by fraud.
Alumina & Bauxite Company Ltd v Tajik Aluminium Company – Recognition of two arbitration awards, appointment of liquidators over BVI company, advising and acting on various claims and insolvency applications against various parties who were alleged to have received assets from insolvent BVI company.
