Digital Music Information and Instructions
We will use computer files (digital music) for the 2013 Ohio Age Group Meet. Digital Music is simply taking an MP3, WAV or other comparable music file and putting it on a laptop computer and using iTunesto play the music at our meets.
We would like to have each team save its music using the information below and email music files to by the entry deadline (April 6). Use the following naming convention when saving the file:
13-15 AG Duet CCC Jones
12 UINT Solo CCC Adams
1)Age Group or Intermediate or Novice = 12UAG, 13-15Int, etc.; Duet = Routine, CCC= USA Synchro Club Abbreviation, Davis = last name of the first alphabetical member of the routine. Other abbreviations are: INT = Intermediate, Novice = NOV,
2)Coaches e-mail their music by deadline (April 6).
3)The sound person transfers the files from e-mail to a computer file and then imports the file to iTunes. The music is tested to ensure it plays.
4)During the week prior to the meet the scoring person completes the start lists and e-mails the start lists for the meet to the sound person.
5)The playlists are created in iTunes for each separate routine competition, i.e. AG 13-15 Duet, 12U AG solo.
6)At the meet a laptop is used and iTunes play the music through the sound system for each competition.
7)Recommended is 160kbit/s AAC or higher quality audio for best sound results. 128 kbit/s MP3s are NOT recommended. If sending MP3 files, please ensure they are at least 192 kbit/sec.
8)A minimum one second leader (silence) before the music starts and ends added to all files is recommended.
