A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE MS. CLAUDIA H. BURLEY OF FLORENCE COUNTY FOR FORTY YEARS OF SERVICE WITH THE SURMFIT STONE CORPORATION AND WISH HER MUCH HAPPINESS DURING HER RETIREMENT YEARS.
Whereas, Ms. Claudia H. Burley of Florence County is a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where she is active in the church’s Sunday School; and
Whereas, she is the mother of two children, Ronald M. Burley and Carol E. Hahna, and has four grandchildren; and
Whereas, Ms. Burley enjoys traveling, taking cruises, and being a grandmother; and
Whereas, for the past forty years she has been a dedicated employee of the Surmfit Stone Corporation and its two predecessors South Carolina Industries and Stone Container Corporation; and
Whereas, it has come to the attention of the members of the General Assembly that Ms. Burley is retiring from Surmfit Stone Corporation after serving for a number of years as a nurse and finally as an office assistant during her forty-year career; and
Whereas, it is fitting and appropriate to recognize her for her dedication to the Surmfit Stone Corporation as well as to her family and community. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize Ms. Claudia Burley of Florence County for forty years of service with the Surmfit Stone Corporation and wish her much happiness during her retirement years.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Claudia H. Burley.
