20/20: Living a Life of Clear Vision

If we begin a trip to a distant destination without knowing where we’re going, there’s a much better chance of getting lost. In this series 20/20: Are You Living a Life of Clear Vision? Today we will take a clear look at how your spiritual vision gives a clear vision for the rest of your life.

Memory verse: For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Our job is find out what plan God has for us personally.

Personal Vision: Where am I Going?

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:7

Sow a Thought – Reap an Action, Sow an Action – Reap a Habit,
Sow a Habit – Reap a Character, Sow a Character – Reap a Destiny
– John Maxwell

What are you thinking about? What are you doing?

Begin with a ______Vision

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

Vision should always begin with putting God first.

Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:36-39

They erred through wine and intoxicating drink…They erred in vision and they stumbled in judgment.Isaiah 28:7 (nkj)

The sin of Ephraim was getting their eyes off the vision of God and it led to sin. They misjudged what God was doing and stumbled!

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

God has great things for you to do, start there.

just a ______

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

When you follow, Jesus changes you.

4.Follow and ______(Do it ______)

Then Jesus said to, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Luke 9:23-24

Our ultimate call, “come and die.”

Read Luke 9:57-62 at home.

You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless? James 2:19-20
