Listening tips: As a long-time podcast listener, here are some of my listening tips…
You need to listen in a situation where you can give the podcast enough of your attention. You don’t need to take notes or memorize anything, so it doesn’t require laser-like focus. It’s basically a story being told and you just need to take in the story as you would any other story.
Additional tips:
· Listening on a longish ( 10 mins) car ride is good.
· Listen while doing a mindless chore, such as doing the dishes, cleaning your room, walking the dog, making a citizen’s arrest, resorting your phyllite collection etc.
· Go back and rewind a bit if you find attention is wandering. This is vital or you can easily lose track of what’s going on.
There will be a basic quiz in class designed to ensure that you did in fact listen to the podcast.
