PREREQUISITE: Calculus II (C grade or better)
A student who does not have a good working knowledge of Calculus I & II (especially of differentiation, integration, & infinite series) has little chance of succeeding in this course.

EXAMATTENDANCE POLICIES:
1. For each exam you are required to bring your Student ID & a blank blue exam booklet.
(8"x11" available from FIU bookstore). No notes, calculators or cellphones are allowed.
2. A make-up test for Exam #1 will be given only if there is a verifiable case of illness or
emergency. If you miss Exam #2 for one of the same reasons that test will be discounted.
3. Bathroom breaks will be allowed but you have to write in ink afterwards. Any misconduct
will be reported and dealt with according to the Code of Student Conduct.

4. Religious holidays can be accommodated if I am notified in the first 2 week of classes.
5. Cell phonesmust be silenced (or set to vibrate) in class & are not allowed during exams.

6. No instruction except the Final Exam will be given in the last week of classes.
7. FIU uses an Early Alert System – if an alert is submitted, you must contact your advisor.

Attendance is mandatory. FIU will give you an automatic F for less than 60% attendance.
