Should you always believe what you see? Find out when Lionsgate and Paramount Vantage release the bone chilling, ghostly thriller The Eye: 2-Disc Special Edition on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc. Based on a film of the same name from the renowned Pang Brothers (Infernal Affairs), The Eye stars Jessica Alba as Sydney Wells, a woman who has been blind since a childhood tragedy. After undergoing surgery to restore her sight, she begins to see again. However, shortly thereafter, unexplainable shadowy and frightening images start to haunt her. Not knowing if they are an aftermath of surgery, her mind adjusting to sight, her imagination, or something horrifyingly real, Sydney is soon convinced that her anonymous eye donor has somehow opened the door to a terrifying world only she can see. The Eye: 2-Disc Special Edition DVD and Blu-Ray Disc contain numerous featurettes and deleted scenes. The Eye: 2-Disc Special Edition and The Eye: 2-Disc Blu-Ray both come with a standard-definition digital copy of the feature film for iTunes and Windows Media, providing a consumer-friendly way to transfer the feature film from a DVD to iTunes that can then be viewed on a PC or Mac®, iPod® with video, iPhone™ or on Apple TV®. The standard one-disc DVD of The Eye will include a Widescreen and Full Screen version of the film. The third film in the franchise from the Pang Brothers, The Eye 3 will be released by Lionsgate on June 24th, 2008.
