What should I include in a Lifestyle Analysis Essay? A comparison between what the lifestyle you want costs and the lifestyle you will be able to afford with the career you have chosen to research. You’ll talk about housing, transportation, clothing, entertainment, gadgets, insurance, etc. Everything that makes up a lifestyle.

How do I make a reasonable future resume? You’ll base the information in this resume on the research report information you will have collected. You will write a resume showing what you have accomplished in the next few years based on your research and your plans.

Can I change careers if I change my mind? Yes, but the sooner the better. You must turn in a complete portfolio for whichever career you present on. If you change your mind in January, that will make it difficult for you.

How long does the presentation have to be for this unit? Approximately 10-15 minutes

What are we doing? I’m confused. (Since you were absent when we unpacked this unit, you should start by reading all of the project instructions.) You are doing an in-depth analysis of a career of your choice to discover everything you have to do to succeed in that career—including education/training, internships, interviewing, etc. You’re also creating support documents you’ll need for success such as a couple of different resumes and cover letters for different points in your life so you can see the difference between an high school resume, college/early training resume, and experienced career resume. You’ll be part of an interview team and be interviewed for a job in your selected field. You’ll do some analysis and reflection on what you want out of life and how well your plan for yourself matches up with your vision of your future. You’ll end the unit (semester exam) with a presentation of your ten year plan—this presentation is about a 90% match with your required senior presentation for Knight Skills.

How many sources do we need like to really know specifics about the company and its best fit individually? You should be able to find all of the company information in one or two sites. You’ll need additional resources for your research report though discovering all the different requirements to be eligible to be hired by this company.

Using a PowerPoint or a Prezi as a presentation tool, you will address the following subtopics: Who are you? Where are you going? What experiences have impacted you so far? What if the career doesn’t seem suitable, but you have the dedication to do it? Your career is your choice. If it doesn’t seem suitable, but you want to pursue it anyway, that’s up to you.

Elaborate more on the report. The research report? You’re explaining all about the requirements it takes to be prepared in a specific career of your choice and then what that career actually looks like in action.

How do we write an essay on how prepared we are? It’s about the preparation you’ve done so far and about what you are willing to do compared with what is required. (If you hate going to school and plan to be a lawyer, how prepared are you to attend school for the next 8-10 years to achieve you dream? If you want to be a biologist but hate science and stopped taking math as soon as you could, how prepared are you to pursue your studies in college? If you want to be an entrepreneur and are currently working a job in the field you want to pursue, have read every article you can find about starting your own business, and can’t wait to start college and major in business management, how prepared are you to achieve your dream?)
