Congratulations to St Ninnidh's Primary School on winning first in the Ceili Band and Grupai Cheoil competitions at the Fermanagh Feis this weekend. This is agreat achievement to gain two firsts in competitions that were of a very high standard. We are very proud of all the children who competed in the Fermanagh Feis this yeartheir hardwork and dedication paid off with firsts, seconds and highly commended throughout the school.

Church Closure: The Parish Finance Committee has decided to install a new suspended ceiling in St Ninnidh’s Church, Derrylin. As a result, starting Monday 9th April, the church will be closed until the following Saturday afternoon,14th April. The closure is necessary in order to facilitate the installation of the new ceiling. The church will reopen for the 8.00 pm Mass on Saturday 14th April.

Daffodil Appeal – Marie Curie Cancer Care: Marie Curienurses provide care for patients with terminal illness in their own home. The staff of St.Mary's Primary School Killesher would like to thank sincerely all those in the parish of Derrylin and Teemore who supported and contributed to our recent fundraising event. The night at the Races and raffle raised a grand total of £15,250 which will be used to purchase computers for a computer suite in our new school extension which we hope will begin shortly.
As a gesture of appreciation to the community for their kindness the school intends to purchase and install a defibrillator at St.Patrick's Church Killesher. This will be our way of saying a heartfelt thank you to all.

As the eyes of the world turn to Ireland for the celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day on 17 March, here in the World Meeting of Families offices in Dublin, we are mindful that in just under six month’s time, families from across the world will be descending on Ireland to take part in the 9th World Meeting of Families which is taking place in Dublin from 21 – 26 August. Preparations for the gathering of families are well under way. Another milestone registration number has just been passed with more than 8,000 people now registered to attend our celebration of families in August.

But who is coming and from where? At the moment we can see that we have 8,172 people registered to attend. Three thousand of those registered are from Ireland and the other 5,000 are from 66 other countries so this will truly be an international gathering of families.

How do I book a ticket to attend World Meeting of Families 2018?

World Meeting of Families’ events will require a ticket and you will need to complete a registration form on our website to have access to tickets. The website is

Is there a fee to attend WMOF2018?

All events require tickets; some events will be free; others will be subject to a fee. The Festival of Families and the Final Mass are free ticketed events. There is a fee for adults to attend the Congress from 22-24 August in the RDS; this fee includes guaranteed access to the free tickets for the Festival of Families and the Final Mass. Children’s tickets are free and must be booked. Information on how to access single event free tickets for the Festival of Families and the Final Mass is not available at the moment.
