This meet, a timed finals closed invite, is designed to help educate and motivate middle school-aged swimmers about high school swimming in Indiana. As such, 11-14 year olds will compete in this meet following standard IHSAA swimming rules; 2 individual events/2 relays or 1 individual event/3 relays per swimmer, with a maximum of 5 swimmers entered per event per team, for all events except the 50 and 100 free which will have unlimited entries. Each team may field an A & B relay per relay event.

Location:North Central High School Natatorium, 1801 E. 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240

Facility:The main competition pool will consist of 10 lanes in 25 yard format . An additional 10 lane, 25 yard pool will be available for continual warm-up/cool down .The pool has a minimum depth of 5 feet.The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such

certification is on file with USA Swimming.

Parking:Free parking will be available outside the pool entrance on the southwest corner of the building. Please use Door #24 for this meet.

Rules:Current USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming rules will govern this meet. USA Swimming Rules 202.3.2- At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision.

Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Coaches MUST constantly display their current USA Swimming coach credential to gain deck access. The meet referee reserves the right to ask for coach credential display and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer valid/current.

In swimming competitions, the competitor must wear only one swimsuit in one or two pieces except as provided in USA Swimming rule 205.101.1. All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knee.

Eligibility:All 11-14 year olds currently registered with USA Swimming are eligible for this meet. Age as of January 23rd will determine age for the meet.

Warm up 5:15PM, Meet Start 6PM

10 minute break after the 50 free

Entry Fees:The cost per event is $4.

Entries:Please submit entries for this meet to the entry chair designated above by January 16th, 2013 at 8AM.

Hospitality:A hospitality area will be provided during the meet for coaches and officials.

Relays:Relays will be an important part of this meet. Relay cards must be turned in by 5:45PM.

Admission:The cost of admissions will be $4.00 for the meet – this price includes heat sheets. Due to USA swimming insurance only swimmers, coaches, officials, and volunteers are allowed on deck. No parents will be allowed on deck! Concessions will be available.
