A meeting of the Educational Subcommittee was held at the office of Commonwealth Automobile Reinsurers on -

Mr. Amoruso made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 16, 1997 meeting. Mr. Bartlett seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Hallinan stated that he got in touch with Biodynamic Research Corporation, which is a high tech mechanical engineering company, and they would be happy to participate in this year’s seminar. Mr. Hallinan also stated that an associate of Mr. Larry Cohen from Structured Settlements will be participating in the seminars.

Mr. Brennan said that he, too, would be happy to participate in the 1998 Cost Containment Seminar. He explained to the committee that his company, The Physician Network, is a physician’s network medical consulting firm. They provide medical cost containment and nurse case management. He continued by adding that The Physician Network also conducts Medical Bill Audits and Medical Records Reviews.

Ms. Gedziun stated that she would do a slide show presentation on the tools that are on the Internet to help adjusters’ in the investigation of claims.

Mr. Cann said that Mr. Doug Taylor from ADP would be participating in the Cost Containment Seminars. Mr. Cann also said that he needs to get in touch with Mr. Don Mong, an accident reconstructionist.

There was some discussion concerning having an appraiser speak at the seminars. Mr. Cann volunteered Mr. Steve Tague, an appraiser at Metropolitan Property & Casualty.

Mr. Fink stated that he got in touch with Ms. Audrey Par from Morrison, Mahoney, & Miller and she had agreed to participate.

Mr. Amoruso said that Mr. Dan Shapiro, a Plaintiff Attorney, would participate in this year’s seminar.

The next meeting was scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 1998 at 1:30 PM.

There being no further business Mr. Amoruso made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Bartlett seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
