1This unit standard requires resources of two complex written passages in Vagahau Niue, of at least 200 words per passage.

3Definitions

Complex refers to a wide range of vocabulary and tenses in sentences containing one or more dependent clauses, and complicated grammatical structures;

Unfamiliar refers to topics and settings that are outside the learner’s normal personal experience;

Vagahau Niue refers to the authentic language of Niue.
