/ Ron was a member of a junior cavalry troop while growing up in New Jersey and became a Pony Club national examiner and AHSA (now USEF) hunter/jumper/equitation judge. Dental school and practice brought him to Maryland, where he was a natural to become a founding member of MCTA and its second president. 1980-81 Jeanie Gore
/ Jeanie rode at the very first MCTA
event in 1972. She had progressed
considerably by 2000, when she and
Run Around Sue leaped into the wa-
ter at the Virginia Horse Trials held
that November at the Virginia Horse
Center in Lexington. She remains a
very active competitor and volunteer.
