Outcome 3

Prepare a cultivation work pattern in accordance with workplace procedures.

Evidence requirements

3.1A work pattern is planned that is suited to cultivation method and implement type.

3.2The work pattern minimises empty running and the number of strike-outs.

3.3Alternating angles of operations are incorporated in the work pattern so that ridging is eliminated.

3.4Guide markers and alignments are placed as accurately as soil type and terrain allow so that successful cultivation is achieved.

3.5The area is checked for hazards, and hazards are noted or removed.

Outcome 4

Carry out cultivation using individual tractor-drawn implements in accordance with workplace procedures.

Evidence requirements

4.1Cultivation implements are used according to manufacturer’s directions.
