Flanders-Europe are pleased to invite you to the 17th ?Breakfast at

Sustainability?s? (B@S) on Wednesday 4th February 2015 in Brussels on the

topic "*Sharing ? the new concept for sustainable mobility*".

European cities and towns are experiencing an increasing interest in

sharing initiatives when it comes to innovative and sustainable transport

and mobility (carsharing, bikesharing, transport pooling etc.). ICLEI is

involved in several EU initiatives ranging from CO2 reduction strategies

for transport in the North Sea region (CARE-North plus) to European support

networks for sustainable urban mobility (ENDURANCE).

Among the confirmed speakers are Michael Cramer, MEP, Chair of the EP

Transport and Tourism (TRAN) Committee, Nikolaus van Peter, Member of

Cabinet of Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc, and the Mayor of the

inspiring Belgian city of Deinze, Jan Vermeulen.

*Community-energy: empowering local authorities and their communities to

guide local sustainable energy roll-out in Spain*

*5 February 2015 - Madrid*

Local decision-makers, planners, local government associations and

networks, and energy agencies are invited to participate in this free

workshop addressing the potential for roll-out of community energy in

Spain.

The event will include topics such as how local authorities can invest

in *community

energy*, how they can *access funding,* and how local authorities and

community groups can work together on renewable energy. *Best practice*

from across Spain will also be showcased during the workshop.

The event will take place in *English and Spanish* with simultaneous

translation.

The *2nd RAMSES Stakeholder Dialogue* will take place back-to-back

Climate Change Adaptation conference (ECCA)

The Stakeholder Dialogue will offer a unique opportunity to cities as well

as urban adaptation experts and practitioners to learn about interim

results of the RAMSES project, voice their experiences and give feedback to

further advance and tailor the RAMSES Research. The 2nd RAMSES Stakeholder

*Open European Day @ Bonn Resilient Cities*

*11 June 2015 ? Bonn*

EEA and ICLEI have joined forces again to organize the 3rd Open European

Day (OED), which this year will follow back-to-back the Bonn Resilient

Cities Conference and will take place on the 11th May 2015.

The successful format of the OED will be maintained and enriched with new

features responding to feedback by participants. Experience exchange

between *climate adaptation practitioners* of both ?forerunner? and

?beginner? cities and with key adaptation players through interactive

discussions will again be at the core of the event. Contributions by*

institutions *supporting urban adaptation development and *scientists *will

be tailored around specific inputs to respond to key questions from city

representatives.
