In the name of God amen this seaventh day of December in the year of our Lord God one thousand seaven hundred and fourteen I Benjamin uglow of the parish of Marham Church in the County of Cornwall yeoman being but weak of body but of sound & perfect minde and memory praised be allmighty God for the same doe make & declare this my last will and Testam't in man'er & forme Following (that is to say)

Imp's I give and bequeath my soul unto allmighty God who gave it me hopeing through the meritts & mediaton of my dear Redeemer Jesus Christ to enjoy eternal happiness and my body I com'itt to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a decent man'er by my Exec'r or his trustees hereafter named

Itm I give and bequeath unto my wife Grace uglow & her assignes all those two Tenem'ts or ___[?] called the newpark & the Lams [?Hams] with thappurtences [= the appurtenances] thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the parish of Marhamchurch & County of Cornwall To Have and To Hold the s'd newparke and the Lams [?Hams] with thappurtences unto my said wife Grace uglow & her assignes for and during the Terme of her naturall life she my s'd wife Grace uglow and her assignes doeing noe wast or spoile upon the s'd premisses and also the[sic] my s'd wife Grace uglow & her assignes during her life time yielding paying doeing & performing for the s'd premisses all such rents herriotts Cred'ts Condicons & agreem'ts as ore [= or] shall be doe [= due] or ought to be yielded paid done or performed for the same and after the decease of my s'd wife Grace uglow then I doe hereby give and bequeath the afores'd premisses called the newparke & the Lams [?Hams] with thappurtences unto my Grandson Benjamiin Tuke his Exec'rs adm'rs & assignes for & during all the remainder of yeares which shall be then to come & unexpired of & in the same and my will and meaning further is that if in case my s'd Grandson Benjamin Tuke shall happen to die before he shall accomplish his age of one & twenty years & unmarried & without Child or Children Lawfully begotten that then I doe hereby give & bequeath the said premisses called the newpark & the Lams [?Hams] with thappurtences unto my grandson James Tuke his Exec'rs adm'rs & assignes and all my Estate right Title Interest claime and demand of in & to the same every or any part or parcell thereof

Itm I give unto my said wife Grace uglow Forty poundes in mony

Itm I give unto my Grandson James Tuke & his assignes all that my messuage or tenem't with all thappurtences thereunto belonging called Barrow[?] situate lying and being in the parish of Bridgrule in the County of Cornwall and all my Estate right Title Interest benefit claime & demand of in and to the same every or any part or parcell thereof

Itm I give unto the poore of the parish of Marhamchurch eighteen pounds to be paid as followeth (that is to say) ten shillings a year at Christide during my lifetime and twenty shillings a year after my decease to be paid at Christide every yeare untill the whole eighteen poundes be paid and the same to be distributed at the discretion of my Exec'r or his Trustees

Itm I give unto my said wife Grace uglow & to my Sister in Law Grace Smale and to my son in Law James Tuke & to his wife Ann Tuke one Guinea of Gold a peice to buy each of them a mourning ring

Itm I also give unto my son in Law James Tuke five poundes to be paid him at the end of one yeare next after my decease

Itm I give unto my sister Margaret Dart forty shillings to be paid her at the end of one year next after my decease

All the rest of my Goods & Chat'les I give and bequeath unto my Loveing Grandson Benjamin Tuke whom I make whole and sole Exec'r of this my last will & Testam't but my will & meaning is that if my said grandson Benjamin Tuke shall happen to dye before he shall attaine his age of one and twenty years & unmarried & leaving no Child or Children lawfully begotten That then I do hereby give all my Estate goods and Cha'ells unto my said Grandson James Tuke and doe then make him my said Grandson James Tuke whole & sole exec'r of this my last will and Testam't. And further my meaning & will also is that if in case my said both Grandsons Benjamin Tuke & James Tuke shall happen to dye before they shall accomplish their ages of one and twenty years & be unmarried & neither of them leaving Child or Children behind him lawfully begotten That then I doe hereeby give all my Estate Goods and effects unto the Children of my sister Mary Deymon dec'd to be equally divided amongst them they paying unto my sister Margaret Dart if she then be liveing & to & for her sole & separate use and not otherwise the sum of tenn pounds

and doe desire nominate and appoint my said Loveing wife Grace uglow & my sister in Lawe Grace Smale Guardians and Trustees to and for my said grandsons Benjamin Tuke and James Tuke during their minorities and to see this my last will and Testament well and truly performed and my desire and will is that my said grandsons Benjamin Tuke and James Tuke nor either of them shall not Choose or elect any other Guardians or Trustees than my said wife Grace Uglow and my Sister in Law Grace Smale (if they or either of them be liveing) till my said grandsons shall accomplish the ages of one and twenty years renouncing all former will or wills by me at any time or time[sic] heretofore made And in Testimony that this is my last will and Testam't I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seal the day & yeare above written
