Thank you for your interest in the 16thAnnual Sports Medicine and Sports Science of Figure Skating Symposium.This year’s meeting will be held in conjunction with the 2011 PSA International Conference and Trade Show in Dallas, Texas.
Abstract submission: Abstract submissions (case presentations, research studies, informative talks, summary of published research) are encouraged.Please see the Instructions for Abstract Submission enclosed in this packet. DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS JAN. 14, 2011.You will be notified by e-mail of your selection in February, prior to the early bird registration deadline for the Symposium(April 15, 2011).Please note the early bird registration for the entire conference is Jan. 9, 2011 (if you choose to attend more than just the Symposium). Late submissions will be considered on a space available basis.

Instructions for Abstract Submission
The abstract form must be submitted electronically (Microsoft Word format, please).Please format your Word file to conform to the official abstract submission form (see examples and official form).Please use single space, use font size of 12, maintain at least 1.5 inch margins, justify the margins and submit by e-mail to:o later than Jan. 14, 2011.
The language in the abstract should be intelligible to the average reader and must be in English.Limit your abstract to 500 words or less.
The abstract should be substantive, providing sufficient material to allow both evaluation of the abstract and educational material for the congress participants. Abstracts will be presented as oral presentations or poster format.Presenters will have the option to choose their preference, but the final decision will be up to the program committee. Oral presentations will be approximately 15-20 minutes.Posters should be approximately 48x72 or smaller.Plan your presentation accordingly, and do not attempt to cover more material than time or space allows.
The title should be typed in all capital letters, with the remainder of the information capitalized only in the usual fashion for written manuscripts (please see example).
There is no processing fee for abstract submission.However, all presenters must be official registrants and must pay the registration fee.All expenses related to the presentation, such as cost of posters and travel expenses are the responsibility of the presenter.
