Your grade will be determined by dividing the total points for the marking period by the total points you have earned. Points will be earned through a combination of the following:

1.  Class Assignments: both in class work and homework which may include journal work, as well.

2.  Tests and Quizzes: Tests will ALWAYS be announced at least a week in advance. Quizzes may or may not be announced.

3.  Individual and Group Projects: These will be assigned periodically throughout the year and ample class time will be allotted for the work, however, time will be needed for outside class work.

4.  Papers: These will be assigned for specific units and will require reading outside of class.

5.  Final Grade: Your final grade is determined by averaging 20% for each marking period grade, 10% for the mid-term exam and 10% for the final exam.
