Terms & Conditions

Applicants must fulfill the following conditions in order to be eligible for assistance under the scheme.

1.Applicants must be residents within the Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth.

2.Assistance is available to sports persons under the age of 18 at the closing date of entries.

3.Applications may be made by any person within the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy, particularly from people with disabilities or learning difficulties.

4.Applicants must have amateur status.

5.Applicants must be competing in recognised sports as defined by Sport England.

6.Applicants may be eligible for one grant in any single year, up to a maximum of £150.00. The level of grant awarded will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

7.Applicants receiving assistance from their governing body or any other organisations may be given a lower priority under the scheme.

8.Applicants must be in advance of expenditure and include a detailed estimate of anticipated costs.

A letter of endorsement from a club official, explaining how the application will assist development & the applicant’s commitment must accompany this form or the application will NOT be considered.

Application for the Sports Scholarship Award Scheme for young people 2018

SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP awards 2018.

Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council in association with Nuneaton & Bedworth Sports Forum have designed a scheme to provide assistance to talented sports persons, both able bodied and those with disabilities.

THIS SCHEME IS TO ASSIST DEVELOPMENT ONTO HIGHER ACHIEVEMENTSup to 12 awards will be allocated

ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE UNDER THE SCHEME. Successful applicants will be eligible for the allocation of a direct grant up to a maximum of £150 towards one or more of the following:

•Training

•Coaching expenses

•Travel costs

•Purchase of equipment
