School News

1234 Education Rd. Brilliant, IQ 98765 June 2003 Issue 10 Page 1

This issue is our final “2003 school year” issue. With the school year coming to a close, along with family vacations and such, only a few of the students are featured in this issue. The story Where’s the Sun? was created by choosing from a list of possible animal and natural characters, plots, settings, and problems. It was up to the student tocreate the storyline and resolve the conflict. As you will read, he developed quite a story.

We will continue producing the newspaper through the summer. You will notice that the following issues will have a little different format. The students are acting as journalists. They will be reporting on sports, community events, movies, books, etc. Keep your eyes peeled for anything that may interest you. As always the written works and this newspaper are created, edited, and compiled by the students. Staff are involved as guidance and support. Feel free to contact me regarding any comments, questions, or concerns about the newspaper.

Our Garden

By: Ashley, Gerard, Kevin, and Marianne

We have a garden here at Center Glen. Our garden is in the front yard. We put seeds in the dirt and added water. We planted onions, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, cantaloupes, and zucchinis. We love our garden.
