Hello, my name is Ms Robinson and I will be teaching your child math this year. Math skills are needed for 75% of all jobs. However, I repeatedly stress to my students that “We all use math EVERY DAY.” This is true, as a certain level of math is required just to function in daily life.
Expectations and Procedures
In order to be successful in this class your child will need your encouragement and support. They will also need a positive attitude and strong work ethic. By this I simply mean that they must be willing to try. I will teach them the materials, (using their individual learning styles and accommodations and modifications), but they must apply it in order to become proficient in the math skills I cover.
