Senior Support Specialist- Tandem Automation Group
§ Data Center Automation – Currently part of the Tandem automation team in Mexico designing automation solutions on the Tandem systems in Mexico.
§ Designed a self-service suite of products to provide remote users with system information and reports, previously manually created by operations staff.
§ Automated a system to replicate daily shift reports previously manually collated from Prognosis by operation staff, and distributed in Excel.

§ OPE – Currently part of the OPE team in London looking to find efficiency and savings with EMEA
§ Metric automation – designed and instigated a new Metric concept to display historic data within Excel spread sheets saving 2000 man hours in 2012
§ Assisting Tandem engineering in Mexico to automate many Command Centre manual activities.

Senior Support Specialist- Tandem and VMS
Principle Developer – Citi internal Application - Virtual Safe
§ Performed system management tasks on Tandem Nonstop and OpenVMS servers within London and Meerbusch to maintain applications high availability. Duties included problem management 1st and 2nd level, system software patching, building scripts on both platforms in TACL and DCL to assist and monitor server environments and automate manual tasks.
§ Virtual Safe Application – to remove a major EMEA audit issue in 1993, I designed and developed a password storage application used by over 15 countries to store approx 6000 critical functional accounts for various internal servers including VMS, AS400, Wintel, Stratus , Unix , Mainframe EAS, MQ etc with many passwords being automatically updated.
§ Part of the zLinux team as an SA recently trained on Suse Linux to provide support for Data warehouse and Citi Anti money laundering applications.
§ Successfully completed training to ITIL foundation training – 2007.
§ Working on a new EMEA DC OER (Operational Efficiency Review) initiative to find and automate operational efficiencies within the EMEA Data Center
§ Fluent in Tandem Tacl , VMS DCL scripting languages and have knowledge of HTML, Visual Basic, Javascript, Tivoli and Zlinux and many years ago machine code for Burroughs Machines.
§ Current duties include 24 x 7 support, change and problem management via Infoman, VT, VR. Liaison with many Citi internal groups, and internal and external global customers.
1995-2000 Tandem European Data Center Stockley Park
European Business Data Center Systems Manager - EBDC
§ Project managed the complete data center relocation from Stockley Park to Reading, including reinstallation of all equipment and servers.
§ Responsible for day to day operations to one of the four Tandem worldwide
data-centers.(now Hewlett Packard)
§ 1st and 2nd level technical support to > 1000 European users.
§ 1st and 2nd level pathway application support.
§ Liaison between 4 worldwide data centers.
§ Project managed and instigated all software, hardware and application upgrades for the EBDC including all system moves.
§ Provide support for all European based Regional Offices for system installations and system software and hardware upgrades.
§ Diagnose problems on our current CLX and Himalaya platforms, and where required, will replace any hardware or system software.

§ Provide 24 hr by 365 day support to all internal users.
§ Perform Y2K compliance testing in the Scottish manufacturing facility.
§ Created the data-centers tape monitoring routines to automate all data backups for disaster recovery requirements.
