INFORMATION

1.  Start / Finish at the Krugersdorp Nature Reserve.

2.  A 9.446km circuit consisting mostly of older tar road inside nature reserve fence.

3.  Secure venue for seconds and runners.

4.  Safe and secure placement of seconds stations next to the route. (Seconds not allowed to run with their runner/walker. No bicycles or cars will be allowed on route.)

5.  Seconds can pitch a tent/gazebo next to the route in allocated area.

6.  No bicycles or cars or animals will be allowed on route.

7.  Toilets facilities available.

8.  Chalets can be booked in nature reserve with nearby restaurant.

9.  Please bring own lighting for run and tent/gazebo as there is no lights on road at night due to being a nature reserve.

10. Basic Medical Facilities available.

11. No downgrading from the 100miler to the 12 hour race will be allowed.

12. No dual entry of races will be allowed.

13. No littering of plastic or anything that might affect any animals allowed on the route or inside the nature reserve !

RULES OF ENTRY

1.  The race is run in accordance with the rules of ASA and CGA. Athletes indemnify the national, provincial and regional bodies, Golden Reef Club, 1000km Challenge, Krugersdorp nature reserve, sponsors and organisers of the race against any or all actions of whatsoever nature, whatever the same maybe arising out of their participation in the race.

2.  Runners participate at their own risk.

3.  You must be an amateur as defined under the ASA rule and be 21 years or older on the day of the race. Proof of age must be produced upon request on race day.

4.  You must be a member of a club affiliated to ASA and wear your club colours with 2016 licence number on back and the supplied race number on front.

5.  All marshall’s instructions must be obeyed at all times.

6.  You must have run a qualifying race of 42,2km or more within the 12 months preceding the race. Completion of any ultra marathon within the stipulated time of the organisers shall also serve as a qualifying time.

7.  Reflective belts or adequate luminous material must be worn during any time of darkness. The runners must supply their own reflective material and they will be allowed to have non running stand and hand seconds, Runners can have their own water/aid station at specified areas but there will be provision for 1 (one) water/aid point along the route. Basics like water will be supplied, but is participants must bring own food etc..

8.  One race number will be issued, which must be visible and worn on a bib on the front of the chest at all times during the race. Failure to comply will result in disqualification by a race committee member or race referee.

9.  The closing date for Pre-entries is 04 November 2016. Late entries will be accepted up until an hour before the start of the race at an additional fee of R100.00.

10. Please ensure that your entry fee accompanies your entry form and is signed by you.

11. Spot checks will be done at various points during the race at the discretion of the committee and race referee. No dishonesty will be accepted.

12. International athletes must provide a clearance letter to the referee in the

event of them winning a prize.
