ARB 3.14.14
10 Country Lane (Kimmelman) – Kevin Cieszykowski submitted plans for a small kitchen addition, pool, accessory building (pool house) and landscaping. The addition is on the back, pushing the kitchen out. APPROVEDlandscape plans. Adding a 10 ft. increment on back, hip roof. Will add an egress window in basement. ARB suggests “packing out” wall in kitchen, adding 4-8”. Also suggest changing corner board. APPROVED AS NOTED
2550 Lander (Ursuline College) – Melissa Fliegel from Van Auken Aiken submitted preliminary drawings for a new Ursuline Athletic Center. The current building has been condemned and will be taken down completely. The new gym will be in the same location and the size will be almost doubled. It will include a fitness center that overlooks the lake. There will also be a new 2 story structure between Dauby and the athletic center. The entrance will be shifted further south. The building will be around 13,000 sq. ft. and have a metal, shed roof. ARB reminds them that continuity is important on campus and thinks the shed roofs on this are a little aggressive. The ARB stresses cohesion and compatibility. APPROVED, RESUBMIT. Will resubmit in a month.
2550 Lander (Ursuline College) – Bialosky architects resubmitted plans for an addition at Ursuline. Originally submitted these plans in the fall of 2013. The plans are for an addition, a link between Dauby and the new athletic center. They moved the building north. Everything was approved last time and these are revised finals. ARB suggests they lighten up the metal, change the coping color. They don’t like the service link but it was necessary to add the service entry for 3 buildings. They should make it more cheerful. APPROVED AS NOTED.
2490 Cedarwood (Trikha) – Larry Bloch Builders submitted preliminary drawings for a new home. This is the last lot left on Cedarwood. The house has a hip roof and clean lines. It is a deep house and will have trouble getting light inside. It is functional but lacks spark. ARB suggests flattening porch roof and adding more windows. APPROVED, RESUBMIT.
2767 Belgrave (Kaiser) – Ryan Sanders submitted preliminary drawings for a new home. The house will be stucco and stone. ARB thinks parts of it look a little heavy. They should fix the architrave and get rid of the ‘ears’ on the windows. There should also be no blank walls. They will need separate drawings for the pool and bridge. APPROVED, RESUBMIT.
32780 Creekside (Ross) – Lee Pozek resubmitted plans for an addition. He made changes as suggested and dropped the band and added transom. APPROVED
2355 Botanica (Petros Homes) – Tom Ferry resubmitted plans for a new house. Made changes as suggested. Dropped the water table. APPROVED
