FITASC CHANGES FOR 2013

The FITASC Organization has implemented several new procedural and rule changes for 2013 that FITASC competitors should be aware of.

Procedural Changes for Referees: These rulings were approved and will be implemented on a trial basis during the 2013 season at World Cup FITASC events.

1.Use of Yellow Cards (warnings) & Red Cards (penalties)

Due to the large number of languages spoken by referees & shooters, there is a high risk ofmisunderstanding by the shooter in case of warning or penalties decided against him/her by the referee and pronounced in a language that he/she does not understand. To avoidmisunderstandings andconflicts between shooters and referees a yellow/red card system is being implemented. This system is recognized worldwide in other sports, with the yellow card being for warning and the red card for penalty.

2.Announcing the types of targets in the peg menus at Sporting discipline

On a trial basis and throughout the season 2013 on international Sporting championships, thetype of target is no longer mentioned in the peg menus, nor announced by the referees. It will be up to the shooter to analyze which kind of target he/she will shoot. Of course, in this case, the referees won’t be allowed to inform the shooter, upon his request, about the kind of target thrown.
