SEPTEMBER 2015“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.” Isaiah 59:1

1. Tues. Give thanks for the hundreds of volunteers this summer who said, “Here am I; send me,”(Isaiah 6:8) and the many times God quickly resolved emergency needs.

2. Wed. Pray for a good relationship with public school administrations as School Good News Clubschedules are planned.

3. Thurs. Pray 5-Day Club® children, Good News Camp children, helpers and junior counselors will take a stand for God as they begin a new school year.

4. Fri. Pray God will burden men and women’s hearts with the urgency of reaching children with the Gospel and that they will teach, help or drive a bus for a Good News Club® this fall. Many new workers are needed.

5. Sat. Pray children who made professions of faith during summer ministries will have caring adults to nurture their faith.

6. Sun. Praise for the churches that include CEF® in their missionary budgets. Pray God will daily continue to meet the financial needs of this growing ministry.

7. Mon. Pray Zechariah 4:6 for Dr. Dan and Michelle Russell as they direct this work. (“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”)

8. Tues. Ask God to bring refreshment and spiritual insight to each one attending the CEFof PA directors’ refresher today through Thursday.

9. Wed. Pray wisdom as plans are made for Teacher Training Classes and the new Good News Club year.

10. Thurs. Pray for a good response to permission slips passed out to students this month at Fannett-Metal Elementary School as they board buses to go home.

11. Fri. Pray for “fruit that remains”(John 16:15)as Dr. Dan has a children’s booth during the car show tomorrow at the Chambersburg Grace Brethren Church.

12. Sat. Pray for a good time of fellowship and encouragement as staff and volunteers gather at Good News Camp (5:00 pm.) for the Pot Luck Celebration of all God is doing through CEF ministries.

13. Sun. Pray God will burden hearts to reach the children as Dr. Dan speaks at Greencastle Church of the Brethren this morning.

14. Mon. Praise for the unchurched children reached this summer. Pray guidance as names are sent to local pastors and wisdom for the pastors as they contact these families.

15. Tues. Ask God to send many workers with a burden for children to our Teachers’ Open House today. Pray we will be an encouragement and help to them.

16. Wed. Pray accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency in production from start to finish for CEF Press® in Warrenton, Missouri.

17. Thurs. Pray for Holy Spirit guidance in each decision made during tonight’s committee meeting.

18. Fri. Pray parents will see the value of having their children attend School Good News Clubs in Franklin and FultonCounties. Pray they will sign the permission forms and return them to school.

19. Sat. Pray children enrolled in the Mailbox Club will faithfully work on the lessons during the school year and complete the course.

20. Sun. Praise for CEF’s children’s interactive web site, Wonderzone.com®. Pray children who regularly use the internet will log in and participate in the activities available.

21. Mon. Pray safety, good health and wisdom as Diane Pomroy, CEF of PA state teacher trainer, travels many miles, organizes and teaches many training classes for children’s workers.

22. Tues. Pray God will use the Tel-A-Story® ministry to reach boys and girls with the Gospel and encourage them in their walk with God.

23. Wed. Pray Good News Clubs held on Wednesday evenings in area churches will have needed staff and a good enrollment.

24. Thurs. Pray safety for CEF of PA State Director, Mark Wyland, as he travels many miles and wisdom for him to help each county.

25. Fri. Pray God will raise- up a CEF state director for Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, DC.

26. Sat. Pray each child Dr. Dan teaches today at Grace Brethren Church in Waynesboro will “love the Lord thy God with all thy heart.” (Matthew 22:37)

27. Sun. Pray workers will make Teacher Training Classes a priority this year as they plan their schedules. Classes begin October 5 and 6.

28. Mon. Pray for a good relationship for our workers with principals, school secretaries and teachers as many School Good News Clubs begin next month.

29. Tues. Pray work will be accomplished in the office efficiently and we would be good stewards of the resources God has provided.

30. Wed. Pray each Good News Club teacher will “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” (11 Timothy 2:15)
