1)Set up your PC for Static IP use the following: Use a CROSSOVER Cable.

2)Connect to the panel with 192.168.20.25. At this time you need to change the IP address to the IP you will be using. Go to: Tools / Settings.

3)You now have access to the ExpansE. If you do not see all the icons available – you need to update firmware.

Firmware Update:

Go to the following site to download:

Username: axtraxng

Password: axtraxng

1)Download WinSCP and open

Set up as shown – password = root. You will use your IP address you assigned.

2)Drag the Firmware to the tmp directory of the ExpansE. If there are any files in the directory – Remove them first.

Putty :

1. Download Putty.exe and set up as follows, use your IP address.

You will see this error – just say OK.

1. Login = root
2. Password = root
3. Type the following:

fwinstall /tmp/ (hit tab – then select the firmware to upgrade)

1. Enter

1. When the download is complete – Type Reboot and hit Enter.

Restart ExpansE –

Logon is the same as Axtrax - admin – admin.

You will now have all icon’s available – you are ready to program.

Clock Set for Expanse

Set up clock – Choose Option

1)Set clock Server to the following:

2)Apply – then Reboot.

3)Set the clock to Manual – check Sync date and time with PC.

4)Apply – Reboot

5)This should keep clock in sync.

Dip Switch Settings – The MU may or may not have a dipswitch – if it does – set as card number 1 – if not the system will recognize it as number 1 each of the other cards will, address each card for the slot you are putting in into – Expanse will now recognize the card.

Exclouds

1)Download Exclouds from:

FTP://rspusa1.serveftp.com

User – guest

Password - rspusasupport

Exclouds- 01.01.19.zip or later

2)Install Exclouds – Password = admin.

3)Setup Exclouds Connection as follows – using your assigned IP address, Password = root. Login Password = admin.

4)Download configuration from Expanse – select the left icon.

5)To run reports – select Reports and choose the report to run – works the same as Axtrax from here.

6)To Export or Import configuration -- choose Tools / Database – works just like Axtrax from here. Cannot import an Axtrax file only an Expanse file?
