Scholarship Rules
1. Judging of Scholarship Applications will consist of a review of the following:
a. Application forms A, B, C and D.
b. Personal statement of interests, goals and reasons for receiving scholarship.
c. Statement of extra-curricular school and community activities, interests, awards, honors, and achievements.
2. Awarding of Scholarships will be based on the following criteria:
a. Participation in varsity sports. (This is mandatory)
b. Applicant must be planning on pursuing a full course of studies toward an undergraduate degree at an accredited 4 year college or university.
c. Scholastic and academic achievements including rank in class, transcript of grades, ACT/SAT Composite scores, academic awards, honors, etc.
d. Award winners must have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average. (Based on a 4.0 system)
e. Extra curricular activities such as band, choir, clubs, forensics, etc.
f. Community involvement - good citizenship both in school and in the community.
g. Financial need will be given consideration in awarding the scholarships.
3. The student must complete Parts A & B of the Scholarship Application, along with supplemental sheets and forward them to the High School Principal/Counselor.
The Principal will complete Parts C & D of the application. The Principal will then forward the complete application, Parts A, B, C & D and any supplemental sheets, to:

The completed forms and supporting material for all applicants must be received by Mrs. O’Handley by April 15.
4.Awarding of scholarships under this program will be the sole responsibility of the Scholarship Committee of the Thomas J. Webb Scholarship Trust, along with the cooperation and assistance of certain school personnel. All applications will be considered without regard to the applicant’s age, sex, race, religion, handicap or other protected categories.
5.Scholarships funds are paid directly to the Financial Office of the University or College being attended.
- Awards will be presented during the annual SturgeonBayHigh SchoolSenior Awards banquet in June.
