Our program has a research track for residents now supported by an R25 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health. This program is for residents interested in a wide array of research opportunities. Our goal is to recruit four residents into the research pathway every year. Residents in this program will have gradually expanding research time each year; the typical participant will have up to 80% research time available for 16 months, scheduled in a flexible manner that fits their research training needs. The program is described further here: http://depts.washington.edu/psychres/career-research.shtml

Please note: We have two special research interview weeks with a two-day format on November 6-7 or 7-8 and December 11-12 or 12-13. During a two-day interview, there will be a full day focused on clinical training and another day focused on research opportunities. We offer a modest honorarium to defray the costs of this two-day format. If you are interested in this type of interview, please reserve these two windows until we can have an opportunity to review applications (including this form!) and make interview offers. If you cannot come at one of these times, it is still possible to be considered for PRRP through our usual interview process.

Please complete this form if you are interested in being a participant of the Psychiatry Resident Research Program. Providing sufficient detail to us now will help us to tailor the interview process.
