1- Helping verbs and main verbs

*Some verbs contain more than one word .

The main verb is the most important verb. The helping verb comes before the main verb .Example I amlooking for fairy tale books at the library

( am) is a helping verb , (Looking ) is a main verb

There are many helping verbs such as ( am , is , are , was , were , have , has , had , will , would , can , could ,……)

Write (HV ) if the verb is helping and write ( MV)if the verb is main verb

4- Linking verbs

Linking verb tells what a subject is or is like .

Example : My favorite color is red . ( is ) is a linking verb .
