1) Help Direct Traffic and cleanup at St. John Paul II Picnic

Our troop sponsor's summer picnic isSaturday June 10. Our troophas a big role, we direct traffic and cleanup afterwards. We ask each troop member, and a parent, to work one 3-hour shift. Shifts are from 3:30-6:30PM, 6:15-9:15PM, 9PM-midnight and 11:00 PM - 1:30 AM. The older scouts or preferable adults should help with the 9-Midnight and the 11-1:30AM shift because of the nature of the materials that are being cleaned up. Scouts earn many more fund-raising points by helping at this event, than any other troop event. All shifts will count as 3 hours of service.

Sign up for your shifts here:

2)From Frank Hulsman: “This Wednesday, May 24, or next Wednesday May 31,if you still want to take a swim test, come to St. X pool between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. OR, if you are a strong swimmer, and want to work on Swimming MB, you could work on it during this time. In either case, please email , to let him know that you are coming. If you want to work on Swimming MB, Mr. Hulsman will let you know what you need to bring.”

3)Any Flower sale hour corrections are due this Thursday. Correction requests have to go through Marci Early who will send them to me if she approves. All hours are locked after that day.

4) We are offering Citizenship in the Nation MB, starting Tuesday evening at 6:00, May 30. Those who don't have that MB should sign up, especially if they are going on our summer trip. The goal is to get everything done except what they can finish up in Washington, D.C. (There are requirements about visiting government buildings and buildings on the historic register, etc.). The time this session will end will be forthcoming and there could be additional sessions depending on how much gets done.
